El Tri Beats Cucuy

El Tri - Cucuy FC 5:3

So this was a bit of a weird game. Usually if you're up 3:1 you should be winning, but not this time. I guess it did not help that we missed a bunch of players. Javier and Patrick both scored for us, and Cary showed us that last week's lazer-beam goal was no fluke and had another one. CNate had another thankless job as goalie, but did a great job. He saved at least three shots that I had already seen going in: in second half he somehow snatched a ball on a fifity-fifty that somebody had tried to lift over him, and then right before the end he first saved a cross that would have been a sure goal, and then blocked a shot from short distance that was on his way to the back of the net. In the end it didn't matter that much but made the score look a bit better. There might have been a come-back but first I got hurt and then Javier, which left us with no subs in 104 degree heat.
