Cucuy Beats Octabong

Cucuy FC - Octabong 2:1 (2:1)

Schluni put us ahead after we were pounding Octabong for about 15 minutes. Shortly after, Okan scored the 2:0 after Schluni and Patrick had forced an error in the defense that gave Okan an open shot from the top of the box. We had plenty of chances for the 3:0 but the keeper was pretty good and cleaned up everything that came his way. With 1 minute left, the ref gave the Octabong a penalty that was seemingly accepted by all except Okan: "I didn't push him. Much." Second half we started with a few good chances but then Octabong pushed back and started to create chances. Halfway through second half they had an open shot that crashed against our cross bar, then a distance shot that Carl was able to save, and another completely open shot from two yards out that Carl was also able to deflect. Andrew and Dan both had great chances to put the game away but in the end the 2:1 was enough.
